I've qualified for the race that launched our sport to popularity, Ironman Hawaii in Kona. Now it's time to train.

Tuesday Morning
Tomorrow is the big day, 130 miles, 12,000+ vertical feet, summiting Mt. Evans and riding back home. This will be the most challenging ride that I've ever attempted, and I couldn't be more excited to see how this body will respond.

You are beasts.
Ride strong, both of you. And please, make it back alive
Born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, west of Downtown called La Grange. Headed north to UW-Madison for school where I became a Badger and learned the finer aspects of coaching triathletes. Headed to the Mountains to work HR at Winter Park Resort in CO. Then followed the love of my life to hell...I mean Phoenix (I confuse the two frequently as the climates are pretty much identical)...Now I'm back in CO and aiming for a solid performance at Ironman Hawaii on October 11th.
